 Water acts as a natural remedy towards achieving a beautiful and healthy skin. Water is a precious gift to mankind and forms almost 70% of our body weight. Therefore you can imagine how important water is for the smooth functioning of the body systems.    
Lack of sufficient water causes wrinkles on skin:
Dehydration, Difficulty in blood circulation, Body gets less active and more tired. Water also keeps the digestive tract in order. Helps to flush out the toxins and controls constipation. No wonder then, that the water acts as a natural remedy towards achieving a beautiful and healthy skin. Dehydration due to decreased water intake or increased loss by way of evaporation leads to premature ageing. In this, the dehydrated skin shows in the form of fine lines and dryness termed as wrinkles. 

Cause of dull skin
 Constipation due to low water intake as we all know leads to raised toxins levels and therefore a dull skin that easily breaks out into pimples. 

Cause of Dry skin:
The right amount of water is necessary for skin's elasticity and suppleness. Even without sweating the body is losing the water through skin and this needs to be replaced. Otherwise the skin's cells become dry, crack, peel and change color. 

Acne prone skin
Water has the power to hydrate, revitalize, detoxify and oxygenate the skin. Increased warm water intake  regulates the excess oil present in an 'acne prone' skin. 

Skin Care
Let me just enumerate some of the basic needs of water in skin care. The hygiene in our body especially skin starts with a soap and water bath. Hygiene prevents body odor, fungal infections and any other parasitic or bacterial infection.

Beautiful skin
Detoxification and weight regulating programmes use a lot of water in there treatment protocol. Large amount of water needs to be consumed in both these treatments. This in turn flushes away toxins, clears constipation, increases immunity of the body and thus affects the skin directly and makes the skin beautiful. 

Skin Ageing
Then comes the skin care products that use water as there base. These products (sunscreen, moisturizers, body lotions, repair serum, night creams) are used to prevent or reverse the coetaneous ageing of the skin.

Glow to the skin
Many exercises also use water , eg, swimming, floatation therapy, steam hydrotherapy, etc, that increase blood flow to the skin and which in turn increases levels of nutrients and oxygen and flushing off of toxins that again imparts a glow to the skin. Healthy cooking also requires water. 

Thus we can easily say that water is life and the secret of the glowing skin is water, water every where and lots of it to drink.
